Permissions for Authors

In Avendoo, permissions can be controlled depending on the user type. A granted permission can, for example, cause a menu item to be displayed or a certain function to become available. The permissions for authors are divided into different areas.

Permission Levels

In Avendoo, some permissions are divided into permission levels. This enables fine-grained control over access to individual objects. Below you will find an overview and explanation of these permission levels.

  • Select: Allows the selection of an object/user, e.g. for inserting into a course. However, the object cannot be accessed via the menu.
  • Read: Displays the object as a menu item and allows access to the list view. Allows the selection of an object/user and opening it in preview, as well as activation via check box and, if applicable, further processing via the bulk editing function within the assigned permissions.
