Permissions in Avendoo

Permissions in Avendoo allow you to control access to specific functions and objects with precision. Each user can be granted different permissions. Generally, there are two ways to assign general permissions: through manual assignment on the user account and through permission groups. Additionally, you can extend the assigned general permissions to selected objects or categories.

Manual Assignment for Individual Users

Every user account, whether a user or an author, can be equipped with individual permissions. To do this, open the user account and enable the required permissions.

We recommend the manual assignment of permissions to individual users mainly for testing purposes. For thorough permission management, it is best to work with permission groups.

Assignment via Permission Groups

A permission group in Avendoo allows you to assign rights and reports centrally. Instead of manually defining permissions for each individual team leader, author, or user, they are maintained once in the group. Afterwards, you only need to assign the appropriate permission group to the respective user — all associated rights and reports are applied automatically.

Extension via Object Permissions

In addition to the general permissions that can be assigned via user accounts and permission groups, you have the option to extend permissions for individual categories or objects.
