Create Content Connector of Type LTI

If you want to bring external learning content into your learning world via an LTI interface, the first step is to create a Content connector. This brings the external content into your learning world. In the second step, you can then redistribute the content to your learners via Remote Content Activation or by integrating it into a course via the WBT Object.

Learn how to create the Content connector here.

1

To create a new Content connector, select Resources → Content connector → Create. The Content connector wizard opens.

2

Under Master data, assign a descriptive Title (e.g., provider name of the external learning content) and select LTI as the Type.

3

Under the Configuration tab, enter the data from the provider system. For a functioning connection, you need at least the Base URL, Login URL, Keyset URL, and Deep linking URL. Under the Data transmission section, you can decide which data should be transmitted or only made available anonymously.

4

Save your changes. If you have already created and populated a Provider Object in the provider system, you can Start deep linking to test whether the connection works. Deep linking can only be started if a Deep linking URL has been stored.

Prereqisites

  • Author account with the Content connector: Change, create permission.
  • Your third-party provider must provide you with the data for the configuration of the LTI connection (at least Base URL, Login URL, Keyset URL, and Deep linking URL).
