Order of participant Rules

If there are multiple participant rules, the defined order applies. You can change the order by clicking on a participant rule and dragging & dropping it up or down. The Number of users column shows how many participants the rule applies to. If multiple participant rules apply to a user, only the first applicable participant rule will always be applied.

Application Example

A Course activation has two participant rules:

  1. Rule: Users with the organizational unit “avendoo-hamburg” have no access to the course
  2. Rule: For users with any organizational unit (using the wildcard “%” ), the course is visible in the catalog

The first rule applies to a user with the organizational unit “avendoo-hamburg”. The user has no access to the course. The second rule applies to a user with the organizational unit “avendoo”. The user sees the course in the catalog and can register for it themselves.
