Classifications in Avendoo are freely configurable categorization features that allow learning content (course activations) to be grouped thematically or organizationally. Classifications are created as a resource in the authoring area and then stored in the client wizard. Consequently, different classifications can be used for different clients.

In the user area, classifications serve as an additional filter option. In the catalog and on the learning space, learners can restrict the displayed content based on the stored classification values and thus specifically search for learning opportunities.
