Navigate to Resources → Certificates and click Create. The Certificate Wizard will open.

Enter a title under Master Data.

Switch to the Parameters tab.

Enter the validity of the certificate here, i.e., the number of days for which it should be valid after issuance. Then specify how many days before the expiration date a notification should be displayed to learners in the learning environment. In addition, under Notifications, you can set whether and when certain people—such as the learner themselves or a manager—should be automatically notified of the upcoming expiration date.

Save the certificate.
