Filter

The filter function helps you find content faster and in a more targeted manner – be it for Learning content, in Course management, for Resources, in User management or in Administration. It allows you to narrow down large amounts of data through simple entries and efficiently display relevant information.

Filter

How filtering works

Enter parts of a term or the complete text in the filter field. Then click Apply or press Enter on your keyboard. You can reset the filter settings to their original state at any time with the Reset button.

Tip:
For example, if you search for the term “Test”, content such as “Knowledge test” or “3rd Test New” will also be displayed. It is therefore often sufficient to enter only part of a term and refine it gradually.

Exact filtering and placeholders

For an exact match, put the search term in double quotation marks:
"Muster" finds only exactly this term – “Mustermann” or “Erstes Muster” are not displayed.

You can also use placeholders:

  • Underscore _ replaces exactly one arbitrary character.
Example: "H_o" finds “Hugo” and “Halo”, but not “Hallo.”
  • Percent sign % replaces no or any number of characters.
Example: %Muster% finds all contents that contain the term somewhere – e.g. “Mr. Muster”, “Mustermann” or “Erstes Muster”.

Note: You can configure your filter options via the gear icon. The filter settings (except for text entries) are saved when you log out and are available again when you log in next time. This allows you to continue working without having to filter again.
