Author backend

The authoring area is the work interface for authors in Avendoo and is also referred to as the backend. It offers a variety of functions that are specifically tailored to the creation, management and provision of learning content. Authors can not only develop and structure new learning content here, but also edit existing courses and release them for learners. In addition, the authoring area enables the administration of users, roles and permissions, so that targeted control of the learning offer is possible – and much more.

User frontend

The user frontend in Avendoo is the area in which learners experience their learning world and is also referred to as the frontend. Here, learners can access their learning units through the catalog or on their learning place. The user area also offers functions such as search, achievements and a profile that can be edited. For team leaders, there is a cockpit in the front end with which they can manage their team.

User management

User management is the central area for creating, organizing and managing all users within the learning world. It enables targeted control of access rights.

Learning content refers to the elements that you can create in Avendoo for your learning experience.

Courses

A course in Avendoo consists of one or more learning objects (e.g. Instructional material, Knowledge tests). The learning objects can be arranged in a sequence and set as required or optional. This creates a learning path. Created courses can be released to users with the help of a course activation. In the user frontend, courses are also referred to as learning units.

Avendoo Move

Avendoo Move is an authoring tool for creating individually designed pages with so-called Moves. It can be used to create interactive and responsive learning content. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, various media elements, texts and interactive components can be flexibly combined to develop appealing and meaningful teaching materials.

Dashboard

The dashboard in Avendoo is your personal information and communication center. It helps you to organize your learning world optimally and offers quick and time-saving access to large amounts of data. When you open the backend for the first time, you will see a preset dashboard with all the widgets, which you can customize as required or design individually by adding and removing widgets.

Import Event Dates

You can easily import event dates via a CSV file. This method is especially suitable for importing a large number of event dates. Please note that documents on the event date, e-mail attachments or participant quotas are not transferred.

A reservation can be reported by a team leader on a course activation. This is useful, for example, if employees need to be enrolled in an existing course with an event, but no dates are currently available and there is no waiting list. By submitting a reservation, the responsible department is signaled: “We need this course – please provide suitable dates.”
