Create activated event date

In this guide, you will learn how you, as an author, can quickly and easily create an event date and register participants using the Activated event dates function.

As an Author in the backend, select Event managementActivated event dates and click on Create.

Enter the basic information for the event date (title, teaser, event date and times, coordinator, speaker, etc.) and, if required, design a description page.

  • To design a description page, click on the Edit description button.
  • Select a coordinator via the Add coordinator button.
  • Select a speaker via the Add speaker button. To create a speaker via quick entry, click on User quick entry. The user you create via user quick entry is marked as inactive.
  • Choose between Virtual location or Manual location.

Add participants directly by clicking on Add participants under Participant list. The user management with created users opens and allows for the selection of one or more participants. Confirm the selection by clicking Select.

Save the event date.

Tip
It is possible that several templates for the course activation and event are stored when creating an activated event date. As an author, you then select a template for course activation and event in the first step and confirm the respective selection by clicking Apply.

Prerequisites

  • Author account with the permission Activated event dates: Change, create
  • Author account with the right to access the activation client in order to register participants.
  • An administrator has stored the Templates for activated event dates in the Client under Backend configuration.
